For me, jeans are regular
riding gear - it's what I've always worn in 30 years of riding all
kinds of motorcycles.
True, if I'm on an all-day ride, I'll put my two-
piece leather suit on, but for everyday trips its just me and my
jeans.
But as I'm getting older, I'm feeling
exposed.
Traffic seems faster and more unpredictable;
there always seems to be someone about to pull out or cross in front
of me in a truck.
To put it simply my knees and legs are feeling vulnerable.
Well they were until I started wearing
Bohn Adventure Pants!
Think of breathable lycra long johns with
comfortable armor in all your vulnerable areas:
Knee-Shin
(this is usually the first area that hits in a fall)
Hips(an
impact on the hip bone can be really painful)
Thigh(thigh
and leg muscles are easily bruised deeply)
Tailbone
(landing on your tailbone makes your eyes water!)
You really can wear your normal jeans over the top,
and they're very comfortable - you can wear them all day - both on the
bike and walking around.
You can tell we're getting
older....
I've been riding for, well, 40 years now, and
until recently I'd throw my leg confidently across any bike and
scoot off for a blast along our back country roads.
But although I've not had an accident or fall,
(we don't count close shaves!), I'm feeling far less confident than
I did just a year or so ago. Specially in traffic, - cars and
trucks doing U turns and pulling out and suddenly stopping as if I
was not there!
What If....... I know I'm not the
only one who plays little scenarios of 'what would happen if I
went down here' in my head.
A squeal of tires,
scraping metal on the road followed by a bump or bang - tumbling and
sliding, and finally stopping in a weird silence.
Then you work out
where the damage is (checking the bike first of course).
Generally I'd have a riding jacket on and my trusty Levis with my
trembling knees underneath!
But I like to ride, and I ride in my jeans - it
just feels right!
A great feature is that
although the armor is high grade, you cannot see that I have anything on
underneath - so it's my little secret!

You really cannot
see them underneath.
Years of versatile use
We all buy motorcycle gear and accessories that
only gets used occasionally, but these Adventure Pants are a true
exception, because they are so versatile!
You can wear them under any pants,
unlike riding suits and leathers
Wear under leather riding pants
Wear under your riding suit for
extra protection
Wear under Dockers for that
business or lunch date!
Plus any of your favorite jeans,
you don't have to buy baggy motorcycle jeans, they fit under
regular-fit jeans.
Easily washable - quickly drip dry
I could go on, but just read
a few of the testimonials we've received about these from normal
street riders like
you and me.
I honestly believe that
if you normally ride on the street
in jeans the Bohn Adventure Pants are a must!
The Molded Knee/Shin Armor has a solid core.

Cool?
You're probably thinking "I'm hot already when riding
in the summer."
Well, I can tell you from personal experience (it's often over 110F here
in No. Cal.) that the breathable lycra is comfortable in the heat and
really does not make any difference to riding comfort on those hot and
humid days.
Fact is, I feel uncomfortable when I'm not wearing them.
Will they fit me?
These are made in sizes from XXS to 3XL and from years
of experience we know they will fit you! The sizing chart on our
order page gives you the options. Remember these should fit snug to
position the armor comfortably in place.
Who Buys These?
Yes I can understand what you're thinking! Will
I be the only dork? Our buyers are a cross section of active
middle-aged riders, with alot of Beemer riders.
Just leafing through a few of this month's orders, I see plenty of BMW R
and K bikes, Buell, Honda and Yamaha Sport-Touring bikes. Then there are the
Kawasaki ZZR and naked bikes, Suzuki Bandit and VStrom, as well as
Triumph's and an Aprilia! Really we see a good cross section of
motorcycles you ride every day - not those trophy garage bikes!
Also, they are popular with sportbike riders who naturally want to ride in
leather jacket and jeans.
But our biggest growth this year has been with women riders and also
Harley and Cruiser sectors. Yes, women use these under their jeans,
and I have a feeling they are quicker to accept the notion of 'prevention
is better than the cure' than most men! See more on women's
applications here... Women really use
these!
How much are they and how do I order?
The Bohn Adventure Pants are made by hand in the USA
and are a great investment at $159 including all the armor. Remember this
is an extremely versatile and long-lasting solution that you can wear with
any combination of your gear.
Satisfaction Guaranteed!
I fully understand that this
approach to protection is probably new to you, and although you've read my

riding gear.

comfortable they are under your jeans, and feel - Just Right!

Just wanted to thank you
for developing such a great product that can be worn under jeans
during the hot months of summer.
Last week I went down very hard and was
fortunately wearing safety gear to include your Bohn Adventurer pants
under my Levis 560 jeans. While I am banged up pretty good your pants
really worked incredibly and from the waist down all I sustained was a
slight ankle injury and sore shin on my legs. I also took a hit to my
caboose but again the Bohn armor did well and there was no bruising
involved or any damage to my tailbone. My Knees, thighs, and tail
where well protected from the impact and doing great! I'll be looking
at your Bohn Armor shirts when I recover fully and am able ride again!
Thanks for such a great product that really works
when crash tested!
Sincerely, Rob S. Springfield, VA
Best gear that I've ever
owned! I can't believe the worthless "armor" that I used to wear,
and thought that I was "protected". Thanks for the excellent service and
products!
Knocked the
truck fender off with his knee!... We were doing about 45 mph
when he hit me. I didn't even see him coming... Although hit
extremely hard, through a miracle of miracles, I stayed up on the bike
and brought it to a stop... Here's the strange part. The guy had a
metal bumper, which hit me directly on the knee (last thing I saw).
Fortunately I was wearing a full suit of your body armor under my
clothes - Adventure Pants. Not one thing happened to my knee! All
the damage was where the armor stopped! The
guy's metal bumper was torn off his vehicle - and I'm the only
thing he hit! That armor and the Big Rider upstairs saved me some
real damage!
- Maj Van S.
I used to wear
Draggin Jeans.... I want to tell you guys how much I like my
Bohn pants! I used to wear Draggin Jeans but what I wanted was
padding on my knees/hips and your product gives me that and more! I
wear them all the time, and you don't see them under my Levis, my
delicate knees are definitely much safer now. Thanks.

Ego vs
Asphalt... despite the hard collision with the asphalt and my
ego, I walked away with just a couple of scrapes and bruises.
Witnesses were surprised I had not broken my shoulder, arm and a
number of other bones. Anyway, I thought you'd like to know that your
product has made a believer out of me and the select few who saw my
kamikaze flight through the air. I can only imagine the numerous
injuries that I luckily avoided by wearing your airtex armored shirt
and pants Thanks, keep up the good work and ride safe.

On Active
Service... The pants and shirt arrived this morning. I tried
on everything and it looks and feels great. The armor is perfect for
wearing under my uniform. Now I don't have to wear my leathers to
work. I can just put these on under my BDU's (Battle Dress Uniform)
and still be within regulations... the Air Force is picky about those
things. I'm going to recommend you guys to a couple of my fellow
riders.

Hit a Deer with his knee!...
Just wanted to tell you folks how much I appreciate your Body
Armor products. I purchased a pair of the armored pants last year and
they are the best thing for motorcycle riders, period. I have been
riding for over 35 years and have always wished for this type of
protection to be available to us street riders (and dirt riders!).
Thank you SO much for bringing us these products. I had a chance to
test it last year when a deer ran out in front of me, His head struck
my knee and shin and scraped my thigh, and pushed my knee into the
side of the tank. I am sure that I avoided severe knee damage by
wearing the armored pants. ........They still fit very well, and are
easy to put on and take off.
The ease with which they go on and come off makes
it easy to wear them ALL the time I am on my bike. Thank you very much
for this terrific product. Three of my friends have bought their own
pants after seeing mine. Other motorcyclists constantly ask about them
when I am out riding. They are noticeable, but not intrusive. I can
move around easily. I shall strive to get as many riders as I can into
these armored products.
- John S, WA
Hardly Noticeable...
Thank you so much! Everything has arrived and fits well. Your
advertisement was true :) it can be worn with regular clothing,
comfortable and hardly noticeable.

My head never
hit the pavement.... If it wasn't for the knee and hip pads in
your armor who knows what could've happened. I walked away with a
small strawberry on my knee and nothing else. It's ironic, because I
just finished thanking the two guys at the Bohn tent at Laguna Seca
for making such a comfortable product. Thank you to all at the factory
for making a product I can say positively prevented worse damage to my
knee and hip area. Keep up the great work.
Just want to let you know
that I love the Adventure pants as this is my 3rd season with
them. I loved them so much that I ordered 2 more: Then, more of our
friends caught onto the craze and bought some. We use them for both
motorcycling and snowboarding as they function so well for both.
They're cool enough in the summer and warm enough in the winter...that
kind of versatility can't be beat.

I'm Not immortal!
Recently I received my order for the Bohn Body Armor shirt and pants.
While it is pricey I felt that my immortality was dwindling as my age
increased. Day One felt "different," as I have never worn armor on a
bike before. However, within a few hours I didn't even notice it's
presence. It is extremely comfortable during all-day rides. I want to
thank you for a very well-made and well-designed product. My only hope
is that I never have to put it to use. Been there, done that. Not fun.
Sizes should be selected closest to your
real size. If between sizes we recommend you choose the smaller
of the two. This way it will fit snug and firm holding the armor
in the correct position.
The sizing information provided below is a guideline for our clothing.
Variables such as weight distribution and height may alter the size most
appropriate for you individually.
Use the chart below to find your correct measurements...then order the size
that matches from the color chart. If you are between sizes we recommend
choosing the smaller size.
Yes it's true, and this season has
seen a big surge in women buying these to use for their riding.
BUT - LET'S GET THE ONE BIG
OBJECTION OUT IN THE OPEN RIGHT NOW ....
Women don't want their hips to look
bigger!
This is the biggest issue women
raise when considering these, and it is understandable. It's a fact
of nature that female bodies tend to develop into wider hips (for
childbearing), and men carry extra weight in their stomachs (for brains).
As you're
thinking about protection, then you may be more inclined to favor your
body rather than appearance, and for the hip pads to work, they have to be
covering - yes - your hips!
It's true
that people report that the knee protection is the single most valuable
and confidence building feature of the Adventure Pants, but older riders
do want to protect their hips.
However, all the armor is removable
- so you can easily remove it if you wish.
Fit & Comfort You will see that our sizing chart is unisex, and that really does work.
We have looked at adapting it for women, but experience has shown it is
not needed. The lycra is very flexible, and you do not normally need
to size up for wider hips - so please trust our sizing chart!
If you have questions re sizing - please call and talk to Christy, who
will help you with the right fit. Toll Free 888-922-9269.
